BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The department was established when the committee saddled with the responsibility of seeing to its establishment met and came up with a report that was in favour of the establishment of the new departments (Economics, Geography and History) in the School of Arts and Social Sciences in the year 2017
The department right now has the necessary facilities and people to achieve great heights in the College and these include the classrooms, Economics room and the needed personnel. The staff strength stands at sixteen (16) (Fifteen (15) academic staff and one (1) non-academic staff) and academic activities started fully in 2017/2018 session.
