  1.  IBR

Total fund allocated from 2011 – 2020    =       91,200 million Naira

Total accessed         =    2011 – 2020         =       58million Naira

 

The second tranche of 2016-2018 is yet to be released.

Total allocation of 2019-2020also yet to be accessed.

 

  1. Manuscript Development

Total fund allocation for 2012 – 2020               =       34million Naira

Total merged fund accessed                               =       29million

2020 intervention yet to be accessed.

 

  1. Journal Publication

From 2011 – 2020 total money allocated is 80million

Total accessed till date is 65million

 

Conclusion

The college has benefitted maximally from IBR from 2011 – 2015

The new condition of the first tranche of 60% commenced in 2016 intervention. Thus, 40% of 2016 and 2017 and 2018 interventions are still pending.

 

Recommendations                                                                          

In view of the analysis above, the following recommendations are hereby proffered:

  1. More funds should be allocated for IBR research for more staff to engage in continuous research.
  2. Fund for IBR, Journal and Manuscript Development should be fully disbursed i.e not in tranches anymore.
  3. Journal and Manuscript Development Funds should not be paid directly to the publisher’s account. This is because there are many processes involved before publication.
