College Management

The Provost

The Provost is the Chief Executive of the College and he/she is charged with the general responsibility of the day-to-day administration of the College.

Dr. Umar Hassan Ph.D

Dr. Umar Hassan is a seasoned researcher and erudite scholar of international repute, who was until his appointment a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Physical and Health Education, Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Education.

The Deputy Provost

The deputy provost co-ordinates academic activities in the College and is responsible to the Provost.


THE PRINCIPAL OFFICERS

The Principal Officers of the College are the Provost, the Registrar, the Bursar and the College Librarian.

 

The Registrar

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College. He is responsible to the Provost. He/she

  1. Keeps the record of the college;
  2. Conducts the correspondence of the Council;
  3. Functions as the secretary to the council, the College Management, the Academic Board and any Committee of the Council; and
  4. Performs such other duties as the Council or the Provost may from time to time direct.

Mr. Ovansa Otohomorihi Peter

Mr. Ovansa Otohomorihi Peter is a consummate administrator, proficient communicator, professional teacher and a service oriented personality. Born on 7 April, 1962, in Okene, Okene L.G.A. of Kogi State, Mr. Ovansa had his early education at RCM North Primary School, Okene in 1970 – 1975. Between 1975 – 1980, he was at Government Secondary School, Dekina; where he obtained his WASC in 1980.

The Bursar

The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost. Her/she is charged with affairs of the College the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the college.

Mr. Olaewe Jacob Olusegun

Mr. Olaewe Jacob Olusegun is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria. Born on 25 November, 1967 in Tapa, Oyo state, he had his early education at Baptist Day School, Idare 1974 – 1980. Later in 1980 – 1985, he was at Okedare High School, Idare. Thereafter, he attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan where he obtained his National Diploma (ND) and a Higher National Diploma (HND) both in Accounting in June 1987 and July, 1990 respectively.

The College Librarian

The College Librarian is responsible to the Provost and charged with the administration of the College Library and the co-ordination of the Library Services of the College

Usman Mahmud Nefene

The seasoned Librarian, Consummate Researcher, and Administrator was born on 31 st March 1964, in Muye, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State. He had his early education at LGE Primary School, Muye in 1971-1979 and Government Secondary School, Suleija, 1977-1982. Between 1982– 1984, he was at Bayero University, Kano, where he obtained a Diploma in library Science. Subsequently, in 1987 – 1993, he was at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he bagged Bachelor’s degree in Library Science (BLS).
