The admissions unit of the College has ten dedicated and committed staff with the mandate to admit NCE I students into the various NCE I programmes of the College.
To actualize the above mandate, the National Commission for College of Education (NCCE) and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had spelt out guidelines and criteria to be followed before any student can be admitted into any of the NCE Programmes in the College.
The College Admission Committee is chaired by the Provost, othermembers of the Committee are the Registrar, Deans of Schools, Heads of Academic Departments and the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) as member/secretary. The Committee ensures that the stipulated guidelines/criteria and admission procedures as spelt out by the two regulatory bodies are adhered to by the admissions office.
However, any observation(s) and recommendation from the Admissions Committee are presented to the Academic Board for her notification and Approval.
The Admissions Unit also process for approval concessionally admitted (CA) students who had made up their deficiency (ies) in their various subjects to be remedied. Therequest are rooted throughthe Registrar, the Director Academic Planning, Dean of concerned school and the Head of Department for their consideration and approval. The Admissions Unit also process request for students for regularization/late Registration. The Provost has the final approval of such request by his signing of indemnity form after payment of requested fees.
Interested candidates who had a total score of 100 and above in the UTME subject and have satisfied the O’level requirement of a minimum of five credit passes at SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB and Teacher Grade Two Certificate or equivalent or five credit passes in not more than two 2 sittings, which must include English Language and Mathematics and three (3) other relevant subjects. Those applications who met the 100 JAMB cut off point but did not choose FCE, Okene for Admission are also eligible for screening for possible consideration.
In addition, Pre-NCE students who completed their programme from FCE, Okene and passed JAMB with 100 cut off point are equally invited for screening.
