TETfund Intervention

Library Development

TETFUND IMPACT ASSESSMENT ON LIBRARY INTERVENTION

With zero capital budget allocation, Tetfund is virtually the only source of funding for library development. The acquisition of books, journals, equipment and furniture has impacted highly on the teaching, learning and research capacity of the Library. This capacity is supported by the following:

  • 23,000 volumes of print books
  • 1,300 print journal titles
  • 4 titles of national dailies for information and relaxation
  • More than 3 million ebooks, journal articles, and audio-visual resources in our E-Granary server
  • Some 5,000 ebooks and journal articles downloaded onto the customized server, and growing
  • 172 workstations in the E-Library to facilitate access to e-resources, surfing the internet, and performing other tasks, including hosting CBT exams
  • A total of 46 staff operating on two shifts to ensure full utilization of the Library, Monday to Saturday
  • 670 sitting capacity for the entire Library
  • Stand-by electricity generating plant to provide power at critical times.
