BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
CRS Department started for the NCE Programme in 1974. When the college muted the idea of running a degree programme, an application was made to the University of Ibadan. The accreditation visitation panel from University of Ibadan visited the Department for inspection
A favourable report of this visitation panel recommended the department to the National University Commission who also sent into the college panel of experts to validate the claims of the University of Ibadan.
On the favourable report of the panel from the National Universities Commission, the department was granted the approval to offer a degree in Teacher Education – Christian Religious Studies.
Consequently, the programme started in affiliation with the University of Ibadan in 2012/2013 academic session.
